A Very Belated Happy New Year!
I will start this post by wishing you all a VERY belated happy new year!
A new year with plenty of exciting things to come we hope…
First off, we are in the process of updating the website with new products, new photos and new pages so please keep checking back over the coming weeks.
So far we have simplified our rod pricings. All rods under 7 feet in length are now £475 as standard and all rods 7 feet or above are £575 – we think this is much easier to calculate than a price for every length!
We have also added our newest specialty rod – Esox Lucius. Esox Lucius is our tailor made rod designed to catch pike on the fly. Developed over the past few months, it has been incredible fun to test and the outcome has surpassed even our expectations. The rod handle BIG Pike without feeling under gunned as well as maximising the sport given by the smaller jacks. The rod can been seen here but please be aware that new photos and text is to be added soon.
In addition, our new signature range of Specialty Fly Rods are now available. The “Sir” series opens with 3 of our own super fast modern tapers. “Sir A” – an 8′ 5wt, “Sir B” – a 7′ 4wt and “Sir C” – a 6′ 3wt.
A few more photos have been added to the float gallery and there will be more to come soon.
We are also working on a ‘Wizard’ style coarse rod that we hope to get on the site in a month or so – again, testing has been a lot of fun!
Thanks to all who entered the Fly Fishing & Fly Tying competition to win one of our rods. The winner’s rod is currently in the final stages of whipping/varnishing. A beautiful 9 foot 5 weight classic Hardy style taper whipped in claret and black was the winner’s choice. I’ll be sure to post photos as soon as it is complete.
For now, I’ll say goodbye but one of my resolutions is to update this blog a lot more often!
