The start of things to come?…

Managed an hour and a half on a stretch of my local syndicate water this afternoon. To my surprise there was very little surface action, however when I began to wade the stretch and prospect with an Olive immitation I managed to rise a few fish. 
I finished off with 3 trout and 2 grayling, not big fish but great scrappers and beautifully marked with vivid red spots and white edges to fins. I also pulled out of a few fish, but this is to be sometimes expected with the barbless hooks. Hopefully its a sign of things to come. Heres a few photos from today:
