First trip to the stream…

Today gave me an opportunity to get down to a local stream that holds trout and grayling. After yesterdays ‘heatwave’ I thought I’d definately be in with a chance of a fish or two on the dry fly. However the cold wind had other ideas.

Me and my brother walked a good mile or so of water and saw only one fish rise – my brother made a cast to it with an Olive pattern that the trout gladly obliged to. Not a big fish but a fish all the same, and the only one of the afternoon!

Hopefully, the warmer weather will prevail and bring the trout on to the hatches of Olives and the skating Grannom.
