S-Glass 8′ 5wt Fibreglass Fly Rod
The first in a series of posts showing some of the builds I’ve completed recently.This one focuses on a gorgeous glass stick!
The rod is built on a superb S Glass blank and in a striking flame colour. The action is much faster than glass rods of old, but not as fast as carbon often is. These rods, I think, really are a happy medium between cane and carbon and are a joy to cast. These blanks range from 6′ to 8′ and in weights #3 to #5 and depending on hardware choices, they are priced at around £250 – If you’re interested in having one built for you please get in contact with me.
